O músico, que salienta que o desporto sempre fez parte da sua vida, bem como da do seu irmão, sobretudo numa vertente solidária, decidiu concretizar um grande objetivo, realizar uma prova IRONMAN, na distância completa.
Um IRONMAN é uma prova de triatlo tida como das mais duras do mundo, consistindo em 3.8 km a nadar, 180.2 km de bicicleta e 42.2 km a correr. Sérgio encontra-se já em treinos de preparação para a prova, que decorre no dia 21 de Outubro de 2023, com início e chegada na baía de Cascais. No mesmo dia, decorre ainda o IRONMAN 70.3, prova com metade da distância. A prova, que conta com uma elevada participação internacional, passará ainda pelos concelhos de Oeiras e Lisboa.
